The Area - Welcome to Mazarron and its location |
The coastal area of Mazarron is located in the province of Murcia, Spain.
This stretch of 35km coastline, which is a wide-open bay on the Mediterranean,
has 300 days of sunshine per year and is also labelled “Costa Calida”
or the “Warm Coast”. Mazarron's history stems from the natural resource of its surrounding mountain ranges where the mining of silver, iron, zinc and lead brought wealth and history to the village, through the abundance of archaeological remains that has been left for the present visitor to enjoy. Examples for you to visit are “Casas de los Alumbres de Almazarron”, church of “San Andres” – with a beautiful Mudejar coffered ceiling and the tower “Torre de Vieja de la Cumbre” which is located in the port.
Other than the physical man made structures the natural landscape of Mazarron
also brings a wealth of beauty to the visitor. A trip to Bolnuevo
ensures the visitor encounters a spectacular natural sandstone erosion
of water and wind, which has sculpted amazing shapes into the rock. |

The land and sea also provide a wealth of key leisure facilities, which make any holiday complete. The local marina, which consists of 200 moorings, can provide courses for the beginner and the more advanced sea person. The sea also provides rowing, water skiing, sea paragliding and diving at any level.
The ranges of beaches on offer provide environments for couples, families and explorers.
Of course one cannot fail to mention the large variety of beaches that all the family can enjoy. These comprise just to name a few the award winning EU Blue Flag beaches of Playa de Bahia, Playa de Nares, Playa del Castellar and Playa el Rihuete. There are also the virgin coves of Cala Amarilla, Covaticas and Percheles.
The less sea able can enjoy the wonderful natural hikes and walks along the coast and hills of the area. A visit to the Sierra Espuna is also a must. You can also enjoy the less energetic walks through the marina and promenades (paseos) where you can stop and absorb the local community at play. Not forgetting the vital stop for local refreshment.
The area of Mazarron has a great deal of variety to offer any visitor.
Our three bedrooms, two-bathroom villa is located on the newly developed Mazarron Country Club.

When entering the complex you are welcomed to a stylish strolling boulevard with grass, shrubs and palm trees. Elegant illuminated statues and benched seating ensure a welcome and relaxed feel to our special home.
Before reaching our villa you will be introduced to our complex's facilities.

The communal swimming pool, tennis courts, petanque pitch and on site
restaurant ensure the visitor has plenty on site activities to keep them entertained.
However, the future main attraction of the club is the Nine-hole golf club,
which is currently under development. However, for all those keen golfers
there are various golf clubs in good travelling distance. Choices can be seen
in the local course at Camposol, which is a few minutes away, and for the
experts you can resort to the "La Manga Club" course, which is 45 minutes away. Local amenities such as supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, pharmacies,
doctors, dentists and much more are located in Mazarron and Puerto de
Mazarron, which are only a five minute drive.
The surrounding beaches are just a ten minute car ride. The warm watered
sea and soft sand will make your trip worthwhile especially for young children
as many of the large beaches have shallow waters for their safe enjoyment.
Located by the popular
beaches are restaurants and bars, which can cater for all refreshments.
Mazarron is special not just because of its beauty but also because of its unique
micro-climate which is generated through the protection of the surrounding
mountain ranges, ensuring mild winters and gentle evening summer breezes.
